Senior management changes for Nissan in Europe

He will replace Paul Willcox, who has decided to leave the company to pursue other professional opportunities, effective September 1st 2013.

Cartier joined Nissan in 1995 and has served in sales and marketing roles in Nissan France, Nissan Great Britain, and Nissan Nordics before leading sales operations at the European level. He is currently vice president of sales operations for Nissan in Europe. Under his direction, Nissan recorded its best-ever European market share in 2012. Cartier will continue to be based at Nissan International SA in Rolle, Switzerland.

Raoul Picello has been appointed as vice president of sales operations in Europe, replacing Cartier when he takes up his new role. Picello joined Nissan in September 2012, bringing with him 23 years of sales and marketing experience in the automobile industry. Picello will report to Cartier in his new role. 

Commenting on Cartier’s new role, Trevor Mann, executive vice president and chairman of Nissan's Africa, Middle East, India and European region (AMIE), said: ‘Throughout his career, Guillaume has been a key contributor to the company, including leading Nissan in Europe to its best-ever market share last year. His appointment comes as we're making strong strides towards our goal of becoming the Number One Asian brand in the region. We are confident that under Guillaume's leadership, we will aggressively expand our European presence.'
