The new regional outlet will be the European rental provider’s fourth location in the United States, supplementing branches at Miami International Airport, Fort Lauderdale Airport and Fort Lauderdale.

The branch’s fleet will feature a range of vehicles for hire from £14.50 per day ($22.35 USD), including economic sedans, convertibles, people carriers, American muscle cars and premium vehicles from brands such as Mercedes Benz.

The new location, which is situated in close proximity to the major transport hub, will also offer a free 24-hour shuttle to and from the two airport terminal sites.

Janet Zimmer, Sixt Orlando International Airport branch manager, commented: ‘We’re really excited to be launching the new Sixt branch to Orlando and we look forward to bringing cheap, easy and efficient car hire service to tourists and the local community alike.’

Paul McLoughlin, managing director of Sixt UK, said: ‘It’s a great step for Sixt to be launching a new branch in Orlando, Florida, which is one of the busiest transport hubs in the world and a key location for European tourists. We are proud to provide a flexible and convenient service for all our customers across the globe and we look forward to offering the same unparalleled service in Orlando.’

He added: ‘The expansion to a fourth location in Orlando represents our continued business growth in Florida, with a long-term view of expanding across the rest of the United States. Sixt has over 100 years’ experience in the car rental business and we are very excited to be sharing this with our US customers.’
