Škoda teases new urban crossover

Škoda has published a teaser image of a new crossover ahead of the model’s unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Škoda’s as-yet-unnamed new crossover will receive its world premiere at Geneva

Sitting under the Karoq and Kodiaq, the new model would bring a ‘best of both worlds’ approach to the crossover segment, combining the raised seating and viewpoint of an SUV plus a spacious interior with compact car handling and agility. The brand is targeting it as an urban crossover, with rivals likely to include the Nissan Juke.

Few design details have been revealed at this stage but the teaser of the front section shows LED headlights with separate daytime running lights at the top and integrated dynamic indicators.

It will be based on Volkswagen’s modular MQB vehicle architecture that underpins models ranging from the Polo to the Atlas SUV in the US, and will offer new assistance systems along with Škoda’s signature Simply Clever features.
