EV charging operator Source has partnered with EV charging and energy transaction management platform provider Last Mile Solutions to make EV charging significantly easier for European visitors to the UK.

The collaboration means European drivers can use their existing charge cards at Source’s UK ultra-rapid hubs, eliminating the need for app downloads or new account setups.

Last Mile Solutions offers one of Europe’s widest charging networks with over 1.1 million stations connected to its platform. It processes over 3.5 million charging sessions monthly across Europe and manages 1.3 million active charge cards.

The deal addresses barriers to cross-border electric travel as millions of European visitors drive to the UK annually.

The partnership also delivers significant operational benefits for UK fleet managers. Companies with vehicles travelling to Europe can now access charging networks across 22 countries through a single relationship with Source, while domestic operations benefit from simplified billing and automated home charging reimbursements.

The collaboration supports Source’s expansion plans toward 300 charging hubs by 2030, targeting 20% market share in the ultra-rapid charging sector. Source’s ultra-rapid 160kW chargers are designed to accommodate both domestic and international drivers.
