Source has integrated its expanding UK network of ultra-rapid charging hubs into GreenFlux’s European roaming platform, opening up its high-powered infrastructure to millions of international electric vehicle drivers.

The deal connects GreenFlux’s roaming network to Source’s growing UK hub infrastructure

The new roaming partnership allows users of more than 100 European eMobility service providers (eMSPs) to seamlessly access Source’s ultra-rapid hubs.

Source, operated as a joint venture between SSE and TotalEnergies, plans to open 300 ultra-rapid charging hubs over the next five years, promising to make charging smarter, faster and truly customer-centric. Hubs feature at least 150kW ultra-rapid chargers as standard, allowing drivers to ‘charge and go’ in around 15 minutes based on industry-accepted charging session data.

Source sites offer real-time availability updates, well-lit, secure surroundings, and contactless payment with no pre-authorisation required, all backed by round-the-clock support. Every hub is powered by renewable energy, drawing on SSE’s infrastructure and TotalEnergies’ technology.

For GreenFlux, which is part of DKV Mobility and one of Europe’s longest-established EV charging software providers, the addition of Source’s ultra-rapid chargers to its roaming network further strengthens its UK presence. The company already has a strong customer base in the region, and continues to support the UK’s electrification efforts through its roaming and charge point management system (CPMS) offering.

Freerik Meeuwes, director sales & operations at GreenFlux, commented: “Linking up with Source is an important step for us to further grow our network in an important and fast-growing EV charging market such as the UK. Source has a strong and ambitious strategy that guarantees fast charging will only become more accessible to EV drivers in the coming years. That’s why we’re excited to support Source in its growth by exposing their chargers to a larger driver network and boosting utilisation rates.”

Alice Aprile-Smith, head of partnerships and business development at Source, added: “Every network we connect to is a chance for more drivers to discover Source for the first time. Being part of GreenFlux’s roaming network makes it easier for their drivers to find us here in the UK. Once they do, we want the experience to speak for itself – fast, reliable charging with real-time availability, in hubs that are easy to use from the very first visit.”
