Sygic is adding new functionality to its car navigation app to help users monitor fuel prices and subsequent costs in real-time.

Updates allow the user to compare fuel prices and find the nearest filling stations.

The app can feed into the MirrorLink 1.1., Jaguar and Land Rover InControl Apps and HondaLink App Launcher. It also works with Ford’s AppLink vehicle touchscreen, with live fuel prices – provided by the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) – projected directly from the Sygic Car Navigation app to the SYNC vehicle touchscreen.

“The new Fuel Prices function will enable users to monitor their fuel consumption more carefully and this, added to the connected Car Navigation app, combines the benefits of both the smartphone and automotive industries. You will have all of the features, personalisation and performance available to you from your smartphone,” said Peter Schubert, automotive director at Sygic.
