EcoVadis has awarded Targa Telematics the silver medal for its achievements in corporate social responsibility for the second year running.

This year’s silver medal saw Targa increase its scores in areas including sustainable procurement

The accreditation reinforces Targa’s ongoing work to adopt best practices in sustainable and corporate social responsibility policies.

EcoVadis provides an international standard in corporate sustainability assessments; to date, it’s evaluated more than 100,000 companies in 175 countries and over 200 sectors.

Its methodology monitors a company’s performance upstream of its value chain, certifies its level of sustainability, which it then circulates to all of its stakeholders. Certification is based on evaluation of 21 parameters attributable to four macro-themes: environment, labour practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing.

This year’s results once again saw Targa Telematics score above the overall average for companies in its sector, with scores placing it amongst the top 25% of companies.

Targa also improved its performance compared to last year, achieving higher scores in a number of categories despite more stringent parameters. In particular, the telematics, smart mobility and mobility IoT specialist increased its score in the area of sustainable procurement, on account of which it is now in the top 8% of companies evaluated in the sector in question.
