UGAP awards state fleet contract in France to ALD Automotive
The agreement covers the management of all fleet services of the State, its operators, public institutions and local authorities, a total volume of nearly 70,000 units for a period of three years, adding to the 50,000 vehicles under management in the previous contract.
On the first call for proposals launched in 2009 and renewed in 2011, the state government and UGAP set a mission to optimise the management of their various fleets with a savings target of 20 to 30% per unit, which ALD Automotive France has greatly exceeded. In four years, the solutions and deployed under the authority of the Interministerial Mission Park Auto, the specialist vehicle company, have slashed the average vehicle maintenance budget of the state by 35%.
Savings are achieved through negotiated rates and systematic monitoring of quotes and invoices in more than 20,000 workshops approved in networks among manufacturers and tyre specialists. The contract also provides reporting tools to provide state fleet managers with a global view including data on how to optimise their management.
UGAP also offers state agents and local authorities a complete solution to analyse the potential of clean vehicles, get advice and support tailored to a more environment friendly mobility.
‘The renewal of this market is a great success for ALD Automotive France,’ said Jean-François Chanal, CEO. ‘This agreement recognises the high standard of quality that we bring to our customers. Finally, this tender confirms our strategic vision and our desire to develop fleet management in addition to long-term rentals.’
