Xavier Duchemin to head up Opel sales

PSA sales specialist Xavier Duchemin has taken on the role of executive director sales Opel/Vauxhall Europe.

Mr Duchemin joined Groupe PSA in 1994 and has various marketing and sales positions, including the role of vice-president, PSA Retail since January 2017.

He reports to Peter Küspert, managing director Sales & Marketing, Opel Automobile GmbH, in his new role, and succeeds Ian Hucker, who takes over the position as managing director Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles in Austria and Switzerland. Hucker has held a number of positions at Opel/Vauxhall since 1992, including director European fleet, remarketing & used vehicle operations, managing director of Opel Special Vehicles and managing director of Opel Russia.

Peter Küspert said: “With Xavier Duchemin, a recognised sales expert will strengthen the Opel/Vauxhall team. With his extensive experience, he will set important growth impulses in sales and thus foster the implementation of our strategic plan PACE.”
