Fleet operators can now upgrade safety systems on existing commercial vehicles with a new ‘out-of-the-box’ ADAS Kit.

Launched globally by radar solutions firm Bitsensing, the safety bundle is available for all types of commercial vehicles, including vans, trucks and buses, to significantly upgrade the road safety warning systems for fleets.

Built for commercial vehicle environments, the kit integrates a wide variety of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to provide warnings for drivers. By fusing two critical road safety sensors – radar and cameras – the ADAS Kit delivers real-time driver warnings for collision risk and blind-spot hazards, enhancing situational awareness and safer driving. It supports drivers during driving, manoeuvring and stationary scenarios.

Technologies included in the kit range from blind spot information systems, surround view monitoring, rear collision warnings, front vehicle start alert, through to forward collision warnings and moving off information systems.

These features are designed to help commercial vehicles safely navigate complex urban driving environments where sudden stops and pedestrian encounters occur frequently.

Already on the roads of Bitsensing’s domestic market of South Korea in collaboration with Koreawide Express Group, the product provides a complete safety package for real-world fleet deployment, rather than offering individual components.

Importantly, the product is sold as an aftermarket ADAS solution that can be easily installed and scaled into existing vehicles to aid fleet management. Bitsensing says the equipment can be quickly and simply installed, with minimum maintenance subsequently required, resulting in little disruption to commercial fleet operations.

All the safety alerts are provided to drivers in an intuitive interface within their vehicle, enhancing their awareness and supporting safer decision-making in demanding commercial driving environments.

The kit supports key United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) regulations, including R151 (Blind Spot Information System) and R159 (Moving Off Information System), ensuring compliance with international safety standards for commercial vehicles. Both regulations are part of UNECE safety standards enforced in Europe for large vehicles.
