Craig Mailey takes helm at Cox Automotive Europe as Martin Forbes advances in US role

Cox Automotive has named long-time leader Craig Mailey as its new European president, succeeding Martin Forbes, who takes on an expanded role in the United States.

Mailey has been a part of Cox Automotive since 2004 and has held leadership positions across several international areas of the business, including Buyer Services, Marketing and Strategy in the UK, the Manheim businesses in Spain and Portugal, and Manheim Express in Germany.

Most recently, he led corporate strategic initiatives as chief strategy officer – international, alongside overseeing the firm’s business in Brazil.

Meanwhile, Forbes will relocate to Atlanta to spearhead the US-based Mobility Solutions business while retaining his global responsibilities as president of international.

Forbes commented: “Craig is a leader of exceptional integrity, with deep knowledge of our industry and a reputation for always putting people first. That combination, broad commercial experience across our markets and a genuine commitment to our people, makes him exceptionally well placed to lead Europe forward.”
