Online driver profiling and e-driver training provider E-Training World is introducing a bespoke solution for road users in the Republic of Ireland.

The platform includes high-definition footage and road scenes filmed on location in Ireland to engage Irish drivers

Completely tailored to the Irish audience, the new system is based on the Rules of the Road, issued by the Road Safety Authority in Ireland.

The online platform includes high-definition video footage and road scenes filmed on location in Ireland to engage Irish drivers.

It offers a wide range of online driver profiling and training modules cater for all major vehicle types, including cars and small vans, large vans, HGV artics and rigids, PCVs (buses/coaches) and minibuses.

As with the UK system, driver profiling covers the four key aspects of attitude, knowledge, concentration/observation and hazard perception, but using tailored Irish content.

Training modules cover various critical aspects of road safety, including hazard perception, motorway and dual carriageway discipline, parking and manoeuvring, speed awareness, cyclist awareness for drivers, vehicle safety checks, rural driving and city driving.

Modules use high-definition video footage – filmed using in-vehicle cameras, roadside cameras and drones – alongside still images, expert guidance and multiple-choice questions.

Profiling and training can be carried out on PCs, laptops, tablets and mobile phones, enabling companies to deliver ongoing driver safety and training for all their drivers, irrespective of whether they have access to a computer.

Jonathan Mosley, sales & marketing director at E-Training World, said: “Demand for online driver profiling and training has been growing across the board in the Republic of Ireland, particularly through our insurance partners. As part of the ongoing development of our platform, we are pleased to launch this new system and deliver effective and engaging risk assessments and training, meeting the demands of Irish businesses.

“Built on exactly the same platform as our UK system, clients with drivers in both the UK and Ireland can now benefit from an integrated approach – ensuring that all drivers become safer on the road and have fewer collisions.”

As well as serving some of the largest fleet operators in the UK, E-Training World also provides its online driver profiling and training solutions as branded/white-labelled systems to many of the best-known companies in the fleet sector.

These include insurance companies, fleet management specialists, accident management providers, driver training businesses, vehicle rental specialists and other fleet sector suppliers.
