Ahead of its premiere at this month’s Great British Fleet Event, FleetSafe Group has launched its new AI-powered FleetFusion platform and recruited Jason Fitzgerald as chief revenue officer (CRO) to drive growth.

Debuting at GBFE 2026 on 16 April in Milton Keynes, FleetFusion is a new fleet and asset management platform designed to address the limitations of legacy systems and support modern fleet operations at scale.

It’s built to manage a variety of asset portfolios, including vehicles of every type, plant equipment and any other physical asset requiring oversight. The new platform is entering a market currently dominated by legacy systems and hence offers a modern alternative with a clear focus on compliance, along with real-time visibility and ease of use.

Simon Marsh, chief executive officer at FleetSafe Group, said the new platform marks a shift from reactive monitoring to proactive, intelligent management.

FleetFusion introduces a range of capabilities designed to simplify the way fleet managers interact with their data and assets:

• AI-Powered Damage Detection: Using a smartphone camera, drivers carry out walk-around inspections in which AI scanning automatically identifies vehicle damage and raises real-time defect alerts.
• Digital Compliance Vault: Drivers can upload and manage essential certifications, medical documents and annual declarations directly through a secure mobile interface.
• Intelligent Checklists: Customisable digital checklists replace paper-based forms, ensuring every asset (from cars and vans to HGVs and plant equipment) is road-ready and audit-compliant before use.
• Real-Time Feedback Loop: FleetFusion connects drivers and managers directly, enabling the immediate escalation of safety-critical issues and reducing unplanned downtime.
• Plain Language Querying: Users can query complex fleet data in natural language, receiving instant answers without the need to build manual reports.
• Automated Insights: Continuous monitoring of fleet health highlights trends and anomalies before they escalate, acting as an on-demand analytical resource for fleet managers.
• P2P Benchmarking: An industry-first feature that allows operators to benchmark performance against peer data, covering areas such as average defect resolution times and the pricing of parts within supplier networks.

As part of this launch, Jason Fitzgerald will take on the role of chief revenue officer for FleetFusion, bringing over 20 years’ experience across automotive, transport and fleet technology.

Fitzgerald’s career has focused on building sales teams delivering SaaS-based fleet management, telematics and driver safety solutions in complex, regulated environments. He has also advised vehicle leasing and automotive businesses on the practical application of technology to deliver measurable safety and operational outcomes.
