Geotab to expand into SME telematics market following acquisition of Strategic Telecom Solutions

By / 9 years ago / News / No Comments

Founded in 2004, STS has more than 65,000 subscribers across more than 3,000 customers.

Geotab said the acquisition would enable it to offer specialised services to its global sales channel partners that target the SME fleet market, which includes offering onboarding capabilities, customer experience-driven support channels, and sales model assistance services.

It added that the deal would also enable it to expand support services to a 24/7 Global Support help desk and to provide new and unique services to customers, such as automated HOS practices and customised tablet provisioning.

The acquisition is also expected to help Geotab scale up its sales platforms and revenue, grow critical business departments, and enhance the overall customer experience to meet Geotab’s goal of increasing its customer base to reach one million subscribers worldwide.

“After 3.5 years of partnering with STS, it was clear they were such an ideal match for Geotab that it was time to make the relationship permanent,” said Geotab CEO, Neil Cawse. “This acquisition not only benefits the existing customers of both companies, but also the hundreds of thousands more we expect to add over the next two years, by providing them with the world’s broadest, deepest and most innovative portfolio of telematics solutions.”

Further terms of the deal were not announced.
