Moving Intelligence Group acquires TDS Ultra to bolster fleet data intelligence
Moving Intelligence Group has acquired TDS Ultra, a UK-based fleet data intelligence platform, to expand its enterprise data analysis capabilities.
The acquisition, terms of which remain undisclosed, integrates TDS Ultra’s vendor-agnostic software, which analyses data from any telematics provider, with Moving Intelligence Group’s existing OEM-connected vehicle platform, Echoes.
Echoes already links directly to any OEM, giving customers access to vehicle data without additional hardware. The new collaboration allows fleet managers to access a broader range of vehicle data, including driver risk, fleet costs and fuel use, through a single platform. This delivers the expertise and insights of a UK-based data aggregation specialist, alongside real-time OEM data.
The move strengthens Moving Intelligence Group’s position in the UK and broader European markets, taking it to more than 850,000 vehicle connections.
The acquisition continues Moving Intelligence Group’s work to grow its connected vehicle business through a series of acquisitions and partnerships. These include joining forces with Echoes in 2024 to bring OEM vehicle data into its portfolio. Through its combined offering, the group provides fleet intelligence, protection and operational services to lease and rental companies, operational vehicle fleets of any size, and dealerships.
Mathieu Chènebit, chief executive officer of Moving Intelligence Group, said: “TDS Ultra turns fragmented fleet data into actionable insights, whatever the source. Being agnostic, across OEMs, hardware and data providers, is the hallmark of our group. Together with Echoes, we’re building harmonised, AI-driven insights that help the largest European fleets protect their assets and improve their operations.”
Chris Stone, founder of TDS Ultra, stated the company was built on the need for real intelligence independent of data delivery, adding that joining the Moving Intelligence Group would further future-proof the business.
Paul Railston, managing director of TDS Ultra, continued: “Our team is excited to join forces with a European business with proven technology expertise. This will enhance what we have already created and help new and existing customers continue to make sense of their fleets and people, through better insights from driver and vehicle data.”
