Nissan Motor GB names new managing director

Nissan Motor GB has appointed Kalyana Sivagnanam as managing director with immediate effect.

Sivagnanam moves back to the UK from his previous role with Nissan as regional vice president sales and marketing, Africa Middle-East and India, and also brings 14 years’ experience at Ford as vice president – Middle East and Africa.

He will report to Ken Ramirez, senior vice president for sales & marketing in Nissan Europe, and takes over from sales director Andrew Sellars who had assumed the additional role of interim MD over the last quarter following the departure of Alex Smith to become managing director of Volkswagen Group UK.

Commenting on Sivagnanam’s appointment, Ramirez said: “His extensive experience, both within Nissan and the wider automotive industry, will be a tremendous asset as we accelerate plans to electrify our European product range and rapidly evolve our business in the years ahead.”
