Paris Motor Show 2026: Rally-inspired Ford Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition debuts

Ford Pro has unveiled the Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition, a motorsport-inspired double-cab pickup that blends aggressive rally styling and premium SUV luxury with the Ranger’s proven capability.

Debuted at the Paris Motor Show, the new flagship edition marks the latest chapter in Ford’s high-performance collaboration with tuning firm MS-RT.

The standard Ranger MS-RT already boasts “bucketloads of style and flair”, but the limited Champion Edition adds an extra layer of motorsport exclusivity.

At the front end, the top-tier truck raises the stakes with twin racing stripes running across the bumper, bonnet and tailgate with gold contrast edging. The truck’s 21-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels are finished in gold to match.

The MS-RT wider arches, side skirts and unique bumpers give a planted look, while the twin rear spoiler setup has echoes of the ‘whale tail’ wings from the Sierra RS500 or Escort Cosworth.

While the aggressive exterior screams performance, the cabin is far from a stripped-out racer. Instead, Ford and MS-RT have crafted a luxurious, SUV-like interior that seamlessly blends premium comfort with everyday family practicality.

Heated, heavily bolstered MS-RT front seats and gold stitching throughout the cabin carry the motorsport theme inside. The steering wheel gains race-inspired sculpting with a heated rim, perforated eco-leather cover and gold stitching.  To prove its exclusivity, every Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition features a numbered dashboard plaque showcasing its authentic rally pedigree. All vehicles are hand-finished by MS-RT in the UK.

Standard kit replicates features from premium SUVs and includes a 12-inch touchscreen with Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic climate control.

As with the standard MS-RT, there’s a plug-in hybrid powertrain pairing a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol engine with a 120hp electric motor to deliver 281hp of power and up to 42km (26 miles) of all-electric range (WLTP). The line-up also includes a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel delivering 240hp.

The unique suspension setup from Ranger MS-RT is also carried over. The Champion Edition sits 40mm lower than standard Ranger models, with firmer front dampers and a specially retuned rear suspension setup for composed cornering and sharper steering feedback.

Customers choosing the plug-in hybrid powertrain where available can also specify Pro Power Onboard, which turns the Ranger into a mobile power source that can deliver up to 6.9kW. Meanwhile, 360-degree Zone Lighting illuminates the area around the truck.

Despite the lower suspension and aerodynamic bodykit, Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition retains the Ranger’s full braked towing capacity up to 3.5 tonnes and up to a tonne of payload.

The Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition also comes with Ford’s suite of driver-assistance systems, including intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane change warning and aid, active park assist, and cameras with rear and top view to help manoeuvring.

Warranty cover is the same as a standard Ranger, with Ford dealers able to carry out all servicing and maintenance.

The Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition is open to order now ahead of the start of deliveries in spring 2027. Prices are yet to be announced.
