Renault Trucks UK & Ireland has named Aymeric Larcher as managing director, effective 1 May 2026.

Aymeric Larcher, MD of Renault Trucks UK & Ireland

Larcher succeeds Carlos Oliveira Rodrigues, who has been promoted to senior vice president, Renault Trucks Europe, after seven successful years leading the UK & Ireland business.

Larcher joins Renault Trucks UK & Ireland from his role as head of key account sales in France and brings extensive experience in driving growth, shaping sales strategy and developing major customer relationships.

He started at Volvo Group in 2006, assuming a number of leadership positions at both European and global level.

Larcher joined Renault Trucks in 2017, progressing through key commercial roles including key account manager and head of used trucks.

As managing director, Larcher will lead the strategic and commercial direction of Renault Trucks UK & Ireland, building on the strong foundations established in one of Renault Trucks’ most advanced and strategically important European markets.

The focus will be on supporting customers across the full Renault Trucks range, including the transition to low-carbon transport, strengthening the dealer network and driving sustainable, profitable growth.

Carlos Oliveira Rodrigues said: “The UK and Ireland play a central role in Renault Trucks’ wider European growth strategy, particularly as our industry undergoes profound transformation driven by decarbonisation and evolving customer demands. Aymeric’s appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening leadership at this pivotal time for the business.

“He brings a strong track record of delivering results, developing high-performing teams and maintaining a clear focus on customer success. As the transition to low-carbon transport gathers pace, supported by continued investment in our dealer network, Aymeric will lead the business into its next phase of sustainable growth.”

Rodrigues also thanked commercial director James Charnock and Derek Leech, service market & retail development director, for stepping into the role of acting managing director while the appointment was finalised.

Larcher commented: “The UK and Ireland markets are recognised across Europe for their pace of innovation and commitment to decarbonisation. I am proud to take on this role at such an important time for our industry.

“Our ambitions are clear: to accelerate the shift to low carbon transport and continue to deliver the high levels of service, reliability and partnership all of our customers expect. I look forward to working closely with our colleagues, dealer partners, and customers to further strengthen Renault Trucks’ position as a trusted, long-term partner across the UK and Ireland.”
