Growing demand for connected vehicle data fuels Volteras expansion
Connected vehicle data provider Volteras has moved into new, larger offices in London as it continues to expand across fleet and mobility markets in the UK, Europe and North America.
Backed by investors including Edenred, Union Square Ventures and Long Journey Ventures, the expansion into the new Liverpool Street offices supports the growth of the Volteras engineering and operations teams and confirms London as the home of its global HQ.
The team has grown substantially from five to 18 people led by a strengthening of its engineering and operational capacity to support increased customer demand. Recent hires include senior software engineers Brook Elgie and Diego De Lima, alongside customer success lead Steve Morrison.
Over the past two years, Volteras has secured official partnerships with 35 global automotive OEMs while continuing to develop its technology platform for fleet and mobility providers.
This includes recent partnerships signed with the Renault Group – encompassing Dacia, Mobilize and Alpine – and Polestar Fleet Telematics.
Peter Wilson, CEO of Volteras, said: “We are pleased to call London home as we continue to invest in our platform and our operational team, as well as grow our OEM collaborations.
“We set up Volteras to provide fleets and mobility providers with vehicle and driver data in a stable, secure and seamless environment and the response has been very positive.”
Wilson added that the business is seeing increased demand for connected vehicle data across a range of use cases.
“We are pleased to be working with new partners to provide the data they need to capitalise on their business opportunities,” he added.
The Volteras platform enables secure, real-time access to unified vehicle data, helping customers unlock connected services and enhance the user experience. Its core business focuses on leasing and fleet management, insurance, roadside assistance and mobility services, and, more recently, ride-hailing and sharing.
