Stellantis Pro One, the automotive giant’s commercial vehicles business unit, has unveiled an aggressive global strategy featuring 11 new commercial models by 2030 and announced a revolutionary autonomous ‘Box-on-wheels’ concept set to debut at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover.

The announcement, which builds on details shared during the company’s Investor Day in Auburn Hills, outlines a massive product offensive and a shift toward an integrated services ecosystem for professional fleet operators.

The cornerstone of the 2030 strategy is the global launch of 11 new commercial models, including core models renewal and the introduction of new vehicles on uncovered segments.

The upcoming line-up includes the rollout of two new ‘multi-energy’ van platforms powered by the STLA Brain architecture spanning midsize and large van platforms.

These next-generation platforms will provide a full spectrum of powertrain options, including battery electric, hybrid and internal combustion technologies, with a strong focus on hybrid solutions. They will deliver claimed best-in-class performance in payload, cargo volume and conversion readiness.

In addition, four product renewals will arrive before 2030: an updated Small Van – with a particular focus on South America; a major renewal of the group’s global compact van, and the introduction of two new battery electric powertrains across the line-up, including LFP and NMC new batteries to further enhance range and affordability.

The plans also include expansion of Stellantis’ global pickup portfolio. In South America, the company will further strengthen its presence through the renewal of the Fiat Strada and Toro small and compact pickups, while introducing the new Ram Rampage to North America.

At the same time, Stellantis Pro One is undertaking a full renewal of its full-size pickup lineup in North America, covering light-duty, heavy-duty and chassis-cab versions. These vehicles will deliver best-in-class performance and capabilities, and the first Range extender electric vehicle (REEV).

The midsize pickup segment is also seen as a key strategic priority and a significant opportunity to expand market coverage. Stellantis Pro One will address this segment through a dual approach: developing a new “workhorse” product that combines affordability and reliability through its strategic partnership already in place with Changan, while also introducing a new midsize Ram pickup for the North American market.

Stellantis Pro One is also introducing a “box on wheels” concept, a breakthrough solution designed as a full ecosystem, enabling new use cases and business opportunities.

It’s particularly aimed at “rethinking” last-mile delivery, offering a “zero-exhaust-emission, driverless vehicle combined with a full set of services designed to streamline operations and significantly reduce operating costs”.

This autonomous vehicle will be showcased at the IAA Hannover Auto Show on 14 September, where Stellantis Pro One will present its vision for professional mobility.

Stellantis will also deploy the new ‘Pro One Next’ services ecosystem dedicated to professional fleet customers, as the group continues its transformation into a full ecosystem provider, going beyond the vehicle by integrating connectivity, services and Artificial Intelligence to deliver enhanced performance, efficiency and customer value.

Through advanced digital capabilities, next-generation vehicles will operate as active elements of a fully connected ecosystem, supporting customer operations, improving uptime and efficiency, and reducing overall complexity and operator stress.

“With Pro One Next, we are taking a decisive step forward in the way we support our customers’ business,” said Eric Laforge, global senior vice president Stellantis Pro One.

“By combining data, connectivity and operational expertise, through the deep integration of dealers, the Command Center, and Stellantis Parts & Technical Services, we can proactively manage vehicle uptime, reduce complexity and deliver tangible value every day. This is how we strengthen our role as a trusted partner for professional customers.”

The new solutions will underpin the clear objectives set for 2030 at Investor Day: 30% volume growth, global leadership, and a 100% vehicle uptime focus.

“Our target is to confirm Stellantis Pro One as a global reference for professional customers and global leader, and what we have presented at the Investor Day on 21 May clearly shows the strength of our journey,” said Emanuele Cappellano, COO for Enlarged Europe & European Brands, Global Head of Stellantis Pro One.
