Targa Telematics rebrands UK subsidiary to align with global growth strategy
Targa Telematics has officially rebranded its UK subsidiary from Targa Viasat UK to Targa Telematics UK.
The new legal name consolidates the company’s expertise under a single identity, streamlining the delivery of advanced (Artificial Intelligence of Things) and smart mobility solutions to its growing UK client base.
The rebrand, which follows Targa’s acquisition of Viasat Group in 2023, capitalises on a time of significant growth. Under the leadership of country manager Simon Keam-George and commercial director Chris Horbowyj, Targa Telematics has considerably strengthened its UK footprint over the past few years.
Recent high-profile deals include partnerships with major car manufacturers, such as Volkswagen Group Info Services AG and Volvo Cars, as well as leasing companies, including Driveway Vehicle Solutions (previously known as Pendragon Vehicle Management). Through these significant agreements, Targa Telematics UK has broadened its range of solutions for fleet operators, further enhancing its ability to leverage and integrate OEM data from multiple sources.
The company’s UK expansion continues to accelerate in 2026. Prominent moves include hiring Adam Gooch as director of insurance and partnering with Motability Operations and Transport UK London Bus, which is deploying Targa Telematics’ Car Sharing solution to streamline its fleet management operations.
Chris Horbowyj, UK commercial director at Targa Telematics, said the new legal name would contribute to further reinforcing the firm’s identity in the UK at a pivotal moment.
“As the demand for advanced telematics solutions accelerates, we are uniquely positioned to serve the needs of our customers across the country. We are increasingly focused on integrating innovative technologies – such as Agentic AI, a real game-changer for the fleet management industry – into our suite of products and on expanding our service offering.
“The appointment of a seasoned business leader such as Adam Gooch as our director of insurance goes exactly in this direction, bringing over 20 years of experience to our already strong insurtech capabilities.”
