The strategic partnership includes Volvo affiliates Polestar and Lynk & Co. International and will lead to level 4 autonomous driving, for which Waymo is the exclusive partner for the Group.

The companies intend to integrate Waymo’s self-driving technology, Waymo Driver, into an “all-new mobility focused electric vehicle platform”, with the intention that it is suitable for ride-hailing services.
