The free scheme is now being offered in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Sweden and Turkey, bringing the total to 22 countries across the region.

The programme offers benefits including free additional drivers, upgrades, savings vouchers and a free weekend rental.

In addition, Avis Preferred members do not have to wait in line to pick up their rental vehicle because all rental documents are prepared in advance. Vehicles are also parked in easily accessible parking spaces so customers can head off and start their journeys as quickly as possible.

“Avis Preferred allows us to reward customers for their loyalty. Whether they’re a business or leisure renter, they can enjoy the same high-quality service and benefits across many popular destinations around the world,” said Mark Servodidio, president, International Avis Budget Group (EMEA, Asia, Pacific).
