Targa Telematics establishes direct data link with Hyundai vehicles across Europe
Targa Telematics, a global leader in AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) digital solutions for connected mobility, has announced a strategic partnership with Hyundai Connected Mobility GmbH to integrate native data streams from Hyundai vehicles across Europe.

The tie-up allows fleets to access real-time Hyundai vehicle data directly through the Targa platform
The collaboration eliminates the need for aftermarket hardware installations, allowing fleet managers to access real-time vehicle data directly through the Targa Telematics platform. By supporting multiple generations of Hyundai vehicles, the partnership ensures that mobility operators can seamlessly manage both newer models and older fleet assets under a single, unified system.
Through this direct data integration, Targa Telematics will leverage critical vehicle metrics – including real-time location, mileage, fuel and battery levels, tyre monitoring and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) – to power a comprehensive suite of fleet management tools.
This will enable the development of new mobility services for fleet managers in areas including maintenance, stolen vehicle recovery, claims management, fraud detection, driving analysis, activity reporting and additional services supporting Targa Telematics’ offering.
Targa Telematics will also support advanced EV management capabilities, including monitoring battery charge levels, remaining driving range, charging status and energy consumption, for Hyundai electric vehicles. This will provide customers with full operational visibility over electrified fleets, allowing for efficient vehicle management at scale.
By combining Hyundai’s native vehicle data streams with Targa Telematics’ advanced AIoT infrastructure, the two companies are streamlining how European businesses monitor, protect and optimise their mobility assets.
Marcus Welz, CEO of Hyundai Connected Mobility, said: “By working with Targa Telematics, we’re making it easier for fleet operators to access native vehicle data and turn it into actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, support the transition to electric mobility and simplify the management of connected fleets across Europe.”
The agreement complies with the EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) and places the Business User’s consent for vehicle data access at its core. In line with the security requirements set by Hyundai Connected Mobility GmbH, Targa Telematics holds TISAX Level 2 certification, an internationally recognised standard for information security in the automotive sector.
The partnership is part of Targa Telematics’ continued focus on strategic partnerships to transform connected vehicle data into value-added services for fleet management, maintenance, stolen vehicle recovery, claims management and EV management.
Targa Telematics also helps ensure compliance with corporate policies, enhances driver safety and promotes fleet sustainability.
Alberto Falcione, vice president sales at Targa Telematics, commented: “The partnership with Hyundai Connected Mobility GmbH represents another step forward in our multi-OEM integration strategy. It strengthens Targa Telematics’ role as a data integration partner for leading automotive manufacturers, enabling customers to manage multi-brand fleets, including electrified fleets, consistently through a single digital ecosystem.
“Our objective is to simplify the integration and harmonisation of data streams, making them easily accessible through Targa Telematics’ digital platforms while ensuring rapid deployment and the highest operational efficiency.”
