EV charging app Bonnet has added a further 16,000+ charge points for users under a new tie-up with Italian charging network Enel X Way.

The Bonnet app now stretches across 24 networks and over 90,000 connections, spanning the whole of Europe

The charge points are spread over some 7,000 locations in Italy and range from ultra-rapids to slower destination points.

It’s the latest addition to the Bonnet app, which now stretches across 24 networks and over 90,000 connections, spanning the whole of Europe and opening up opportunities for EV travel for tourists and fleets.

Other recent arrivals include fellow Italian network FTX and MFG EV Power in the UK, which both joined at the end of 2022.

Bonnet users are also able to access real-time data on charger availability via the app, which is priced from just £2 per month. Drivers can also enjoy discounted prices of 10% at all listed chargers through its ‘Boost’ scheme, and 15% discounts under its £8 a month ‘Turbo Boost’ plan, whether they are located in car parks, on streets or at motorway services.

Patrick Reich, CEO and co-founder of Bonnet, said: “Enel X Way is leading the way in Italy to reduce carbon emissions and providing a huge number of reliable charging options for drivers.

“We are incredibly excited to add Enel X Way to our app and work with them to further electrify Europe. This announcement also marks an exciting moment for Bonnet as we further accelerate our offer of being the easiest and most affordable way to recharge a car or van in Europe.”
