Car2go car sharing scheme to launch in Brussels

Daimler’s car-sharing subsidiary will run 300 vehicles – comprising 250 smart fortwo vehicles and 50 Mercedes-Benz A Class – in an area covering around 50km² in the city.

The latest location has been launched following the opening of schemes in Madrid in last November and Chongqing/China in April this year.

“We are consequently implementing the car2go growth strategy and underlining our world-wide market leadership in free-floating car-sharing,” said Roland Keppler, CEO of car2go. “The increasing usage of car2go clearly shows a growing demand for spontaneous mobility around the globe.”
