The cars will be available for shared use in the metropolitan Denver area, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The scheme will be available in the Denver Home Area, which stretches north from Interstate 70 to E Yale Avenue and west from Sheridan Blvd to Quebec Street covering an area of 42 square miles. This Home Area includes popular neighbourhoods such as the Highlands and Capitol Hill, the University of Denver and easy access to local sites such as the Botanic Gardens, Coors Field, and the Museum of Nature and Science.

‘The City of Denver will now have access to the most technologically advanced carsharing,’ stated Nicholas Cole, president and CEO of car2go North America. He added: ‘Car2go is changing the way people move around cities. Car2go has been a proven success in 19 cities around the world, and we look forward to bringing this new form of transportation to the City of Denver.’

For a limited time, all new members who use the promotion code ROCKIES will receive 30 free minutes of driving time, and currently the one-time $35 membership fee is being waived.
