Club Car, a global leader in small-wheel, zero-emission vehicles, has appointed Fabio Vigo as EMEA street legal vehicles business development leader.

With a proven track record in the automotive industry and almost two decades with Piaggio Group, Vigo will accelerate the growth of Club Car’s Urban range in key markets.

Launched in 2022 following Club Car’s acquisition of Garia, it’s already used by many public and private sector organisations globally.

Vigo will draw on extensive expertise and valuable business acumen accrued from various senior roles around the world – including developing the iconic Vespa scooter – and will lead the expansion of Club Car Urban.

“I am incredibly excited to have joined Club Car, a brand with an amazing history as a pioneer of small-wheel vehicles since the 1960s,” said Vigo.

“Club Car has set the standard in golf mobility. My goal is to harness that legacy and position the brand as a leading force in the commercial vehicle sector as well.

“The Urban is a beautiful product. It’s a workhorse but also a work of art – an extremely attractive mobility solution for many, many types of organisation. I see it as the missing link in the commercial vehicle market.”

Club Car Urban features a compact and ergonomic design and agile handling to navigate tight spaces. It can be customised with many different configurations, carries a payload of up to 1,000kg and can reach 50km/h (31mph).
