Shown at Detroit as the carmaker’s “Urban SUV Concept”, the model will be based on Honda’s Global Compact Series platform – the same as the forthcoming Honda Jazz. It will also feature the modular Magic Seats seen on the current Jazz while power will come from the recently announced Earth Dreams Technology clean engine range.

The Urban SUV will be produced at the new plant in Celaya, Mexico and will be launched in Japan at the end of this year, followed by the US in 2014 and then in Europe.
