Vehicle hire firm FleetEurope has rebranded as Fleetondemand to mark its full integration into the newly incorporated FOD Mobility Group.

FleetEurope’s rebrand to Fleetondemand forms part of its full integration into the newly incorporated FOD Mobility Group

The business was acquired by Fleetondemand in August 2019 and the rebrand falls in line with Fleetondemand’s key focus on providing corporate vehicle rental services and technology to the domestic UK and international market.

FOD Mobility Group was formed to provide FOD’s vehicle hire and MaaS platforms across Europe and the integration of the two firms brings together a portfolio of vehicle hire and mobility solutions for UK and international businesses.

It’s underpinned by the launch of Fleetondemand’s new upgraded rental platform. The platform consolidates existing supplier partnerships with some of the world’s major vehicle rental suppliers, and a wide range of local, regional and specialist rental companies – Fleetondemand claims to offer more vehicles, more locations, and more choice than any other rental provider.

Its international supplier network covers some 1,627,000 rental vehicles from 26,800 locations in 170 countries worldwide. This includes a UK network of over 600,000 vehicles from 2,200 branches – said to be the largest in the country.

The integration also accelerates the growth of the group’s Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions through the provision of the Mobilleo application to FleetEurope’s client base. The desktop and smartphone app now integrates their vehicle rental services alongside all other forms of business travel, such as flights and taxis but also more diverse areas such a bike sharing, hotels, airport lounges and more.

Alongside the integration, Fleetondemand has started to roll out its next-generation vehicle rental management system, powered by the Mobilleo MaaS platform. The new system integrates various ground transportation services, including car and van hire, car sharing, car clubs, taxi booking, chauffeur services, trains and a whole suite of public transportation providers.

Fleetondemand has launched its new multilingual company website to coincide with the expansion of its services and technology into the European market. The first phase of its European growth strategy includes an initial presence in France, Belgium, Germany, Spain and The Netherlands.

Fleetondemand’s founder and CEO, Justin Whitston said: “FleetEurope has proved to be an excellent acquisition for our business. We see vehicle hire sitting at the epicentre of Mobility as a Service solutions both domestically in the UK and internationally. The name change refocuses our Fleetondemand proposition back into the domestic UK vehicle hire market, complemented by our wider MaaS solution Mobilleo.

“By bringing the two companies together we now offer a powerful suite of vehicle hire and mobility solutions for UK and international businesses, powered by the most advanced technology platform in today’s market. Although we have phased out the FleetEurope brand, we will continue to build on its outstanding reputation within the fleet industry for delivering exceptional service and creating longstanding customer relationships.”
