Frost & Sullivan to hold briefing on convergence in corporate carsharing

A recent analysis from Frost & Sullivan estimates the number of vehicles used in corporate carsharing schemes to stand at about 2,000 vehicles in such fleets in 2013. It forecasts that by 2020, there could be between 75,000 and 100,000 such vehicles in operation, as key providers such as OEMs, leasing arms, rental companies, carsharing organizations (CSOs) and technology providers continually enter the market and expand geographically with competing solutions.

The firm’s analyst briefing takes place at 4.00 pm GMT on Tuesday 18th March and will see Frost & Sullivan mobility programme manager Martyn Briggs highlight the trends impacting the market, the key industry groups and companies developing products and their target market, as well as provide some predictions on the market potential and the impacts through to 2020.

Mr Briggs said: ‘Frost & Sullivan believes the Corporate Carsharing market is set for a considerable growth stage, due to the visibility and cost effectiveness provided to fleet managers, set against the perks and flexibility of carsharing for their employees. This is already tempting several corporate mobility providers into developing competing solutions leveraging this technology led service to their customers.’
