Little details have been given about where the model will sit in the model line-up but Subaru has said the name is inspired by the phrase ‘Vision for Innovation”.

The Subaru stand will also see the European debut of the new fourth-generation Forester, which goes on sale from spring onwards and will offer a larger, higher quality cabin along with the brand’s trademark Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.

And the Outback will also be on the stand, with the display model showing the 2.0-litre Boxer diesel engine paired up with Lineartronic (CVT) transmission for the first time, to give smoother gear-shifting and improved fuel efficiency. This model arrives in markets in the autumn.
