Geotab hits 1 million connected vehicles in EMEA and debuts next-gen telematics
Geotab has announced a major milestone for fleet subscriptions and debuted its next-generation tracking solutions at its Connect Europe 2026 event.
Headline news at the Barcelona-hosted event was the announcement that Geotab has surpassed one million active fleet subscriptions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, establishing it as the first end-to-end fleet telematics provider to realise this achievement in the region.
The one million subscriptions milestone reflects more than a decade of sustained investment in data intelligence across the EMEA region, alongside the successful integration of Verizon Connect’s international commercial operations, building significant market share.
Edward Kulperger, senior vice president, EMEA at Geotab, said: “This milestone reflects the investments we have made in Innovation, R&D and product development over 10+ years, including establishing a robust foundation for data sovereignty and GDPR compliance, along with the recent acquisition of Verizon Connect’s commercial operations.
“These teams are working seamlessly to provide comprehensive solutions from our 13 offices and two R&D locations across the region.”
Geotab said its expansion was being driven by three capability areas. These include AI-enhanced video telematics through the Go Focus Family, expanded OEM connectivity and Go Anywhere asset tracking for trailers, equipment and broader supply chain assets. These new technologies help fleets improve safety, strengthen mixed-fleet visibility and manage increasingly complex operational environments.
In tandem with this, Geotab also announced the European launch of the Go Device Family and the Go Anywhere asset tracker family.
Designed to extend insights beyond vehicles to worksites, the new solutions give European fleet operators intelligence across every asset they own.
The launch comes as fleets battle soaring fuel prices along with ongoing challenges for equipment theft, which is estimated to cost the European construction and rental sectors over £1.3bn annually.
Both Go product families are designed to give fleets smarter operational intelligence and complete visibility across their assets, while enabling fleets to move away from “fragmented hardware ecosystems” by consolidating multiple vendors into a single, AI-ready data foundation.
The Go Device Family spans the Go and Go Plus solutions, built on a new shared architecture that collects and processes high-fidelity data into the Geotab intelligence platform.
The Go device delivers native Bluetooth integration to support driver apps without external hardware. It features advanced input/output monitoring for specialised vehicle metrics such as Power Take-Off (PTO) and has a ‘last gasp’ tamper alert powered by a supercapacitor that notifies fleet managers the moment a device is disconnected.
The Go Plus expands capability for high-complexity operations, adding satellite-ready tracking for low-coverage areas; an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot for in-cab tablets; and native Wi-Fi client mode for automated depot uploads. A dedicated internal battery preserves five seconds of high-resolution data during a collision, securing the all-important factual record for insurance and liability.
Both devices feed Geotab Ace, Geotab’s AI assistant, turning precise vehicle data into actionable answers for fleet managers.
Geotab’s new Go Anywhere Family extends fleet visibility beyond the vehicle to the trailers, equipment and tools that sit outside it.

Geotab’s Go Anywhere Family tracks trailers, equipment and tools outside the vehicle to expand fleet visibility
Go Anywhere is built for non-powered assets such as trailers and idle equipment. With up to 10 years of battery life, it provides hourly location updates without the overhead of frequent maintenance and features an on-demand High-Frequency Mode for rapid tracking and recovery in the event of theft.
Go Anywhere Plus combines wired power for real-time location with a field-replaceable backup battery, delivering continuous visibility across complex deployments. For logistics operators managing cross-border trailer fleets, or construction firms tracking heavy machinery across multiple sites, Go Anywhere Plus provides the continuous operational data needed to improve asset utilisation and reduce downtime.
At the same time, small asset tracking uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons to extend visibility to the portable tools and equipment most vulnerable to loss and theft. It tracks these assets through nearby connected devices and triggers geofence alerts when items are left behind.
All three product developments integrate with MyGeotab for a single view across the full fleet.
Edward Kulperger said the new solutions would help fleets under pressure from rising costs, tighter margins and increasing complexity.
“The Go Device Family meets that challenge directly: more capability out of the box, without additional hardware or custom setups, built on data quality precise enough to run AI on top of. And with Go Anywhere, that visibility extends to every asset on site – not just the vehicles.”
Both product families are rolling out across Europe in late 2026, fully integrated into the MyGeotab platform.
