Mapon, a leading fleet management and asset tracking solution provider, has partnered with Volkswagen Group Info Services AG to directly integrate vehicle data from six major automotive brands into its fleet platform.

The integration enables Mapon clients to access vehicle data without installing additional tracking devices

The integration enables Mapon clients to access vehicle data without installing additional tracking devices, significantly simplifying and accelerating fleet digitalisation.

Through this partnership, Mapon users across Europe can now quickly connect eligible vehicles from Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, SEAT, Cupra and Audi to access essential fleet data.

Mapon CTO Ingus Rūķis said: “This integration is immediately relevant to many European fleets and unlocks new opportunities for companies managing diverse vehicle portfolios. We can now onboard large numbers of vehicles remotely without causing downtime or requiring them to return to base for additional hardware installations. This opens the door for companies with light vehicle fleets that need an affordable and flexible solution.”

The Volkswagen Group Info Services AG integration provides access to data such as near real-time location, mileage, fuel or battery levels and service-related alerts. This allows fleet managers to monitor usage, plan routes more effectively and address maintenance needs proactively, helping reduce downtime and improve overall efficiency.

The integration reinforces Mapon’s device-agnostic approach, enabling companies to manage their entire fleet – regardless of vehicle brand or connection method – within a single platform. Vehicles connected via OEM integrations and those using traditional tracking devices can be viewed together in one interface with consistent data points. This ensures full visibility across mixed fleets without added complexity.

Lasse Schmidt van Hülst, lead sales and key account management at Volkswagen Group Info Services AG, said: “The collaboration with Mapon demonstrates how our connected vehicle ecosystem can deliver real value to fleet operators.

“By providing secure, standardised access to vehicle data across our brands, we are enabling scalable digital services that simplify fleet management Europe-wide.”
