NewMotion’s public charging network has expanded to more than 250,000 public charge points in Europe on the back of four new roaming partnerships.

NewMotion’s public charging network now counts over 250,000 charge points, making the ‘longest European EV road trip’ possible

The new deals include with BeCharge in Italy, adding 3,800 charge points, as well as Wenea in Spain with 320 charge points. New partners also include Spirii in Denmark (580 charge points) and Mobi.E network in Portugal (3,700).

The new partnerships contribute to the 50,000-plus charging connections that have been added to the public charging network across the continent within seven months. The NewMotion network now offers access to public charge points from Nuorgam in the Northern tip of Finland to Modica, Sicily in Italy’s far South.

It means drivers using just the NewMotion or Shell Recharge charge card and app can travel the entire 5,000+ kilometres from North to South Europe in one go.

“Connecting even more partners into the NewMotion network is a big step forward for drivers all over Europe. The ease of access has simplified the journey of driving to Europe’s southern regions such as Italy and Portugal from anywhere in Europe,” said Melanie Lane, CEO of NewMotion. “We are confident that with our new partnerships, in both new and existing countries, that we’re offering EV drivers easy access to charging infrastructure when on the roads.”
