Nextbase has revealed details for its new-generation dashcam, designed to fast-track next-generation connected-car technology.

The Nextbase iQ will introduce latest in-car security and driver assistance features, supported by new AI-powered tech

Debuted at CES in Las Vegas, it arrives this spring and will be available from Nextbase.co.uk/iQ, priced from under £500. It will be supported by connectivity provided by Vodafone in the UK, while Nextbase is working in partnership with T-Mobile in North America.

The new solution will introduce latest in-car security and driver assistance features, supported by new AI-powered technology and offering real-time access from anywhere at any time through the iQ app.

It’s said to be the world’s only connected 4K, three-camera IR video system and delivers up to 4k front and 1440p in rear and cabin views, day or night.

Drivers will be able to receive real-time alerts and access incident video even when they are away from their vehicle, plus other features.

Bryn Brooker, head of road safety and head of marketing at Nextbase, said: “We’ve been working on this revolutionary product for some years now, and we’re taking the market to whole new level with a more complete and genuinely smart product that goes above and beyond what is expected of a dash cam.

“We’re offering drivers something genuinely brand-new and innovative to make their journeys safer; we’re protecting car owners with Nextbase iQ and we can’t wait to see it in action on Britain’s roads and around the world.”
