The carmaker runs a 200-strong dealer network in the UK, with around 10,000 used cars in stock at any time, and trials of the Indicata solution – which analyses used car market data to provide market dynamic insights – have shown how it can optimise efficiency.

Giles Rayner, Nissan GB’s national used vehicle remarketing manager, said: “We can help identify the little things that will impact on a sale; such as stock being uploaded online without an image, or with a lack of key data such as mileage or price. The insights into prices will also support dealers in ensuring their stock is highly competitive against local competition with an eye on reducing stocking days.

“Ultimately, we want our dealers to sell more used cars more often, as this will help drive additional profitability into their used car businesses,” he added.

Nissan already uses Autorola UK for its remarketing, supporting its dealer network in selling over-age stock and unwanted part exchanges with the help of its online used car portal.
