“The new, ultra-modern diesel engines further increase the efficiency of our light commercial vehicles. This and the extended equipment options make Vivaro, Movano and Combo even more attractive for our customers,” said Steffen Raschig, Opel/Vauxhall director commercial vehicles.

For the Vivaro Combi, the model year update brings new turbo diesels. The 95hp 1.6 CDTI with torque of 260Nm is the entry-level engine and brings the same combined consumption of 6.2l/100km and 164g/km as its predecessor but with an extra 5hp.

The new 1.6 BiTurbo CDTI will be available with 125hp and 145hp – also an increase of 5hp compared to its predecessor. The engines produce torque of 320 and 340Nm respectively. The 125hp version delivers economy of 5.7l/100km and 149g/km with figures of 6.4l/100km and 167g/km for the higher powered version. All three engines come with Start/Stop and manual six-speed gearbox and use Opel’s BlueInjection SCR system to comply with the Euro 6 emission standard.

The Vivaro is also available with new features such as “Keyless Open and Start”, a tablet holder and the improved IntelliLink infotainment system Navi 50. It also comes with “Connect Black” anthracite-coloured upholstery.

The Movano Combi is also available with new 2.3-litreBiTurbo diesel engines in two output levels.

The most powerful engine in the Movano Combi now delivers 170hp and 380Nm of torque. This is an increase of 20Nm and 7hp compared to the previous Movano Combi while consumption is reduced by 0.1l/100km. An additional new 145hp 2.3-litre BiTurbo for the Movano Combi also delivers torque of 360Nm while cutting down on consumption, now averaging 6.3l/100km.

All new engines come with Start/Stop along with an additional selectable ECO mode and are combined with a manual six-speed transmission. The driver assistance package now available for the Movano offers comfort and more safety. High Beam Assist, fog lights, Lane Keep Assist and an on-board computer.

The Opel Combo Tour also gains Euro 6 compliant 1.6-litre CDTI turbo diesels with 95hp and 120hp, which will replace the 90hp and 105hp units. Both output levels are optionally available with or without ecoFLEX technology including Start/Stop. The 95hp ecoFLEX variant receives an output increase of 5hp, with average fuel consumption being reduced from 5.0 to 4.7l/100km with 124g/km. The output of the more powerful engine was increased by 15hp whilst fuel consumption was reduced from 5.2 to 4.7l/100km with CO2 emissions ranging from 138g/km to 124g/km for the ecoFLEX version. Apart from the Start/Stop system, the ecoFLEX technology for the new engines includes a new intelligent alternator with braking energy recuperation, a variable oil pump, low friction oil, low-rolling-resistance tires and an aerodynamics package.
