Queensland fleet bosses to be told of road safety breaches under new plans

By / 9 years ago / News / No Comments

As reported by the Daily Telegraph, the plans forms part of the new Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan, which aims to cut Queensland’s road toll by a quarter by 2020.

The proposal would explore the feasibility of enabling “an employer to receive information about an employee who receives an offence notice while driving a company car”.

The strategy would extend the current rules whereby fleet managers are informed of drivers caught by red lights or speed cameras, and would mean that they would be informed of a number of offences, including using hand-held mobile phones and not wearing a seatbelt.
