Route Monkey expands into mainland Europe

The company, which offers software-based mobility and smart energy solutions, has appointed Martin Rapos as energy and mobility director to head up the new office.

Mr Rapos joins Route Monkey from IBM where he was sales and business development manager and worked closely with Route Monkey on several projects – he led the system integration of Route Monkey algorithms into more than a dozen energy markets in the UK, USA and Germany.

In his new role, he will look to develop opportunities for the company’s products in his new role.

Mr Rapos said: “I worked closely with Route Monkey during my time at IBM, which gave me a great insight into the company’s products, people and ethos. I believe that cities across Europe are crying out for the type of game-changing intelligent mobility and smart energy technology that Route Monkey offers.”
