Sixt Van & Truck expands with custom courier vans, enhanced availability and used van purchase platform
Sixt Van & Truck has expanded its line-up with custom-racked courier vans, enhanced vehicle availability and a new digital sales platform for used commercial vehicles.
Unveiled at the IAA Transportation 2026 trade fair, the Sixt Vanzone digital platform means SMEs can now purchase used commercial vehicles from the Sixt fleet for the first time.
The direct-to-business sales ecosystem is designed to streamline fleet acquisition for smaller operators, offering an additional option for vehicle acquisition alongside rental, without having to rely on waiting times for new vehicles.
The new hub complements the Sixt Carhub platform, which launched at the end of 2025 and is aimed specifically at vehicle dealers.
Sixt is also offering a new rental offering that targets the courier, express and parcel industry with built-in racking systems that increase efficiency in day-to-day delivery operations.
Customers can choose between standard shelving and custom installations. Fully equipped vehicles are available within just a few days of ordering thanks to Sixt’s cooperation with vehicle fit-out specialist Sortimo.
Sixt is also expanding with more vehicles and availability across the 25 top European metropolitan regions, which span markets in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands. This allows corporate customers to access fleet capacity at short notice in every relevant business location – from small- and medium-sized vans to 3.5- and 7.5-tonne vehicles, up to 12-tonne trucks.
The global mobility provider is also steadily increasing the share of premium commercial vehicles from manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and MAN.
Advanced technology also features among the Sixt commercial rental line-up. A large proportion of current vehicles already come standard with a rear-view camera. This increases safety in everyday commercial driving, for example in tight delivery situations in urban areas.
At the same time, electrification is advancing: new electric models from various manufacturers have recently been added. These are being targeted by customers primarily for last-mile routes.
Peter Beermann, executive vice president Sixt Van & Truck, said: “With our European network, the new offering for the parcel industry and the new platform for purchasing used commercial vehicles, we are creating exactly the flexibility our commercial customers need in today’s market and expect from us.
“Whether rental or purchase, a classic van or an electric commercial vehicle: we offer the right solution for every requirement – with a level of vehicle quality and service our customers can rely on.”
