Škoda reveals sportiest Octavia versions

By / 4 years ago / Motor Show, News / No Comments

The new Škoda RS iV Octavia, now a PHEV, boasts 242hp.

Latest addition to the all-new Octavia estate and hatchback range, is the high-performance range-topper – the RS iV, which replaces the old hot vRS model nomenclature. Now boasting 245hp and 330Nm torque combined output, the biggest news is that the RS iV is the latest member of Škoda’s green electrified iV brand, being a plug-in hybrid.

As such, it is powered by a 150hp, 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine, mated with an 114hp electric motor. Working together this equals a 0-100km/h sprint in just 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 225km/h.

More impressive considering the performance, are the Octavia RS iV’s emissions, which are approximately 30g/km on the WLTP cycle. Exact fuel economy is yet to be released, but we’re told it will run on electric-only for up to 65km.

Outside, you’ll spot the Octavia RS iV by its specific matrix-LED headlights, LED fog lights, LED rear lights, black 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, twin exhaust tailpipes, wider front bumper, black grille, air curtains and rear apron with diffuser.

Inside, there are Alcantara-trimmed vRS branded sports seats with electric adjustment.

UK pricing and exact specifications have yet to be revealed.
