Strategic sustainability session at GBFE 2026 to tackle the ‘EV execution gap’
The industry’s EV heavy hitters will assemble at April’s Great British Fleet Event to shed valuable light on turning EV ambitions into reality.

One of five Masterclasses taking place throughout the day, the session will bridge the gap between EV ambition and everyday execution
One of five Masterclass sessions taking place throughout the day at the show, the discussion on ‘EVs and sustainability: From Ambition to Execution’ will feature an all-star line-up.
At the event, being held in Milton Keynes on 16 April, the session will bridge the gap between EV ambition and everyday execution.
Speakers include Mel Creedy, EV business development manager at Northgate, who will draw on her extensive EV expertise and Northgate’s consultancy to discuss managing large EV parcs and using data to transition from diesel to electric.
Also at the show will be Dan Lawrence-Eyre, co-founder and COO of Diode. The business specialises in accelerating fleet electrification and EV charging infrastructure, and Dan will draw on his expert knowledge on assisting businesses in transitioning to net-zero transportation.
Specialists from Volteum will cover strategic fleet planning. They are expected to discuss using AI to simulate real-world usage – factoring in weather and topography – to solve range anxiety and optimise vehicle selection.
Concluding the session will be a focus on employee engagement & salary sacrifice. The Electric Car Scheme will explore how to make EVs affordable for the wider workforce. Key topics include using salary sacrifice to bridge the cost gap.
The EVs and sustainability: From Ambition to Execution Masterclass will conclude with an interactive Q&A, allowing fleet managers to put their specific transition hurdles to the panel.
The seminar takes place at a critical point for the industry. While many organisations have set ambitious 2030 sustainability targets, the practical EV ‘execution’ phase often hits roadblocks in infrastructure, cost and driver engagement.
