TomTom and Bridgestone Mobility Solutions have signed a multi-year contract that will further help businesses to unlock the benefits of e-mobility.

Bridgestone Mobility Solutions now incorporates TomTom’s latest electric vehicle data and routing products into its solutions portfolio for EVs

The deal advances their existing collaboration and sees TomTom’s full location technology stack power Bridgestone Mobility Solutions’ fleet management system to help businesses and fleet managers efficiently operate and electrify their fleets.

The two businesses already have a long history of collaboration after Bridgestone bought TomTom’s telematics business in 2019 and rebranded the fleet management technology as Webfleet under its Bridgestone Mobility Solutions business unit.

Webfleet continues to leverage TomTom’s navigation, maps and live traffic data from more than 600 million connected devices worldwide – and as part of the extended relationship, it also now incorporates TomTom’s latest electric vehicle data and routing products into the solutions portfolio for EVs. This enables Webfleet to further support customers in accelerating their transition to EV and run a reliable operation in a cost-effective way.

Paul Verheijen, vice president of product strategy & partnerships at Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, said: “At Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, we work to support the electrification of fleets globally. Through this collaboration with TomTom, we help accelerate fleet electrification while utilising industry-leading traffic data, maps and navigation to better optimise fleet deliveries, improve driving behaviour and range, and increase overall fleet productivity. We look forward to unlocking the full potential of e-mobility for a successful clean energy transition.”

Mike Schoofs, chief revenue officer at TomTom, added: “Improving global logistics and helping our customers solve the challenges that come with fleet electrification remains a key goal for us at TomTom. We’re excited to continue working with Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, a partner who shares our commitment to driving innovation in the fleet and logistics industry. Through this collaboration, both companies integrate what they do best into one solution to help businesses run smoothly and confidently electrify.”
