UAE’s AWCCS to drive fleet efficiency with bynxFLEET

AWCCS was looking for a more streamlined, productive and cost-effective process for vehicle acquisition and management by corporate, government and semi-government organisations and took the decision to make a significant investment in technology to support its business. This includes Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle 11g database, fully integrated into ERP and human resources applications. In addition, bynxFLEET – which like all Bynx technology is based on the Oracle platform – was chosen for vehicle fleet, leasing and rental management.

Paul Greenwood, CEO of AWCCS, explained: ‘This was an ambitious project for us so in choosing a partner it wasn’t just about technology – although the Oracle connection played a key role. It was more about partnership. We wanted a collaborator to work with us who fully understood our business, where we wanted to go and how to get there. Bynx has such a “can do” attitude, it gave us confidence to see it through.’

Implementation of bynxFLEET began in 2012 and is scheduled to roll out fully this year, including the next phase implementation of bynxNET, which offers a suite of integrated applications to improve the user experience and communication between dealers, customers, suppliers and drivers.

All Bynx products have been designed to meet the specific legal, financial, regulatory and cultural requirements in the UAE and wider MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, such as management of road and sand tires, tolls/Salik and applicable fuel cards.

Gary Jefferies, sales and marketing director at Bynx, added: ‘AWCCS has demonstrated leadership by taking on the challenges the market faces right now: ever tightening margins, rising costs, a changing market (in which people hold on to vehicles for longer), the increasing sophistication of customers’ needs and business demands for cost visibility and increased control. AWCCS has built a business based on innovation and service excellence. We support that philosophy and are pleased to have them on board as our latest customer.’

Bynx added that it will continue to work with AWCCS to help the company achieve its plan to become the leading vehicle and equipment solutions provider to government, semi-government customers and private sector organisations while strengthening its own market in the UAE and MENA.
