Targa Telematics appoints Adam Gooch as UK director of insurance

Adam Gooch has joined Targa Telematics as director of insurance in the UK.

Gooch will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s insurtech offering and expanding its footprint in the UK as the sector continues to scale up.

He joins as the demand for technologically advanced solutions accelerates; in particular the demand and use cases for OEM data, not only for connected insurance purposes, but also across wider car, van, and commercial vehicle markets.

With more than 20 years of experience across the insurance ecosystem, spanning telematics and insurtech providers, legal services and major insurers, Gooch has a track record of launching products, driving growth and performance while forging long-term partnerships with clients.

He has held senior director positions at well-established UK telematics service providers, where he significantly grew business’ units he was responsible for, managed insurer relations and product development, and led operations and marketing. His most recent role was as managing director of Trakm8. Gooch also spent nearly five years as commercial director at ITS – Telematics Solutions.
