The Transit tour provides commercial customers with an exclusive opportunity for fleet owners, commercial customers and dealers to drive and experience the 2015 line of Transit vans and receive demonstrations and information on Ford Crew Chief powered by Telogis.

The light-duty commercial telematics solution comes factory-fit in Ford’s line-up of 2015 Transit vans as well as its complete line of commercial light-duty trucks and is intended to help fleet managers and commercial vehicle owners reduce costs, improve driver safety and optimise operations.

The solution offers access to exclusive Ford diagnostic data that helps customers control costs, improve driver safety and optimise operations and also delivers reports, alerts, dashboards and scorecards derived from data such as location, vehicle health/maintenance, driver behaviour and other key information about the vehicle and the manner in which it is driven.

The “Truth About Transit” national tour will reach Charlotte, NC and Detroit next week and then on to more cities across the US through October.

‘The combination of the all-new 2015 line of Ford Transits with the advanced telematics capabilities of the factory-fit Ford Crew Chief solution is a must-have for today’s companies of any size that are looking to cut costs, improve the safety of their drivers and the overall efficiency of their fleets,’ said Greg Dziewit, vice president of OEM business at Telogis. ‘The exclusive data that Ford customers receive through Crew Chief has a transformative effect on the way business gets done outside the four walls.’
