Technology specialist Direct Communication Solutions (DCS) has teamed up with Queclink Wireless Solutions to develop advanced telematics systems for the fleet, transportation and logistics sectors.

DCS will draw on Queclink’s product portfolio while expanding its own video telematics offerings

Under the agreement, Queclink will become a preferred hardware partner, supplying a comprehensive range of GPS trackers and vehicle cameras. This hardware line-up includes the CV200 smart dashcam, which will allow DCS to offer a video-enabled, all-in-one telematics system.

Dave Scowby, COO at Direct Communication Solutions, said the formalised partnership allows DCS to draw on Queclink’s product portfolio while simultaneously expanding and refining its own video telematics offerings.

“We are particularly excited about the potential of the CV200 smart dashcam to meet the growing demand for video capture devices and driver monitoring systems that target insurance, road safety and fleet risk improvements,” he added.

The CV200 delivers advanced video capture, tracking capabilities and connectivity, making it ideal for a diverse range of telematics applications. It can be used as a standalone forward-facing device or combined with a secondary driver, rear or load camera for added visibility. The dashcam can also be paired with a driver monitoring system (DMS) camera to identify and alert on driver distraction and fatigue, while the built-in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) functionality can detect tailgating, alongside forward and pedestrian collisions.

Scowby added that the alliance will enable DCS to fill any gaps in its existing telematics portfolio.

“We expect the partnership to quickly evolve beyond standard telematics devices by leveraging Queclink’s Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) expertise. This added capability will allow us to develop custom hardware to meet the evolving needs of fleet, transportation and logistics operators,” he outlined.
