Fleetcompetence Group has expanded its service offering by joining forces with fleet remarketing expert Johan Verbois.

Johan Verbois brings some 35 years-plus automotive experience to fleetcompetence Group

The tie-up will support the group to further expand its consulting solutions in the area of residual value management.

While a holistic concept to manage residual values, linked to a sophisticated remarketing strategy, is always essential for OEMs, lessors and fleet operators, the pandemic impacts have further increased the focus on residual values.

The new tie-up will see Verbois draw on his extensive automotive background, covering more than 35 years.

Since 2014 he has been managing partner at 5S Consulting, which specialises in consulting, coaching and training on remarketing and residual value management. He is also a Board member of CARA, the European Car Remarketing Association.

Previously, he was director fleet & remarketing at Toyota Motor Europe and has also held various positions in sales & marketing with Opel, Peugeot and Mercedes.

“Johan owns a great set of industry expertise, which perfectly contributes to our international fleet consulting services,” said Thilo von Ulmenstein, managing partner at fleetcompetence Group.

“Having worked for several major OEMs, Johan knows about the specialities of the remarketing business within the automotive industry. His deep knowledge of the sensitivities of the residual value management both for fleet suppliers and fleet operators together with his consulting and training experience will bring a great value to our clients.”

Tobias Kern, managing partner fleetcompetence Group, added: “We are very pleased that Johan joins fleetcompetence, adding his very rich expertise to the international team. Considering the fleet market is changing quicker than ever before, we strongly believe that the demand for independent fleet consulting will continue to grow.”
